Same way as my old Cherokee...only I didn't hit my head. I always like to skip steps.Step 1) Pull handle really, really hard straight up.
Step 2) Hit youself in the head with handle as it releases.
Step 3) Rub forehead vigorously with hand until pain subsides.

so, once you uncrew that torx screw will it just pop up? What about the push button on the gear shift?The AT shift knob doesnt just pull off like the stick shifts!
There is a torx screw under the bottom trim peice on the shifter :wink_animate:

Yep, you just un-snap that lower trim piece and remove that one screw and the whole shifter (button included) just lifts right off with no effort.so, once you uncrew that torx screw will it just pop up? What about the push button on the gear shift?
