Ok well I have had no luck finding any pictures of the Warn remote head unit relocate so here is what I have done, this may help some of you guys thinking about doing this.
First off I'm using a Warn long remote head unit kit and here are some of the install pictures.
things are a tad tight:

with the winch installed the grill can't be removed:

just remove the top bracket and you have access enough to remove it :)

Next I routed the wires:

Then under the air box:

and around the battery:

Here is the Remote Head taken apart:

I mounted it to the left of the battery:

then i decided to use the Warn power interrupt to tie it in to my SPOD:

Some time spent hiding all the wires:

and lastly I extended the plug for the Warn remote 12 feet and routed it to the cab. I mounted it under the drivers seat so all you do is reach under the seat and trap the winch controller. It is full length so it reaches the front and anywhere else you may want to be standing with it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you ran you remote into the cab. Have you thought about just running the remote wires to switches in the cab. The solenoid generally has 3 wires that control the winch. 1 hot 1 in 1 out. Warns may be different but generally same concept. You can run a toggle switch that would let you spool your winch in or out from the cab. I have my remote plug on my bumper and also in cab controls for my winch.

Nice job, very neat and organized. But I wonder why you paid the premium for the Xeon winch when you planned on relocating the solenoid, instead of the less expensive M8000 or VR8000. It seems you've taken the solenoid out of the sealed enclosure, which is the Xeon's main advantage. And by locating the solenoid under the hood there's not as much benefit to starting out with a sealed solenoid enclosure.

Not saying it's bad, just not understanding why you opted to spend extra money. Maybe its because your bumper doesn't allow clearance in front of the grill fascia? I know on my Rugged Ridge bumper with a standard winch, the clearance is tight. But I still can manage to finesse the grill in-and-out when needed.
