Well I have been lurking here on JKO for a while now and it's only fair that I open myself up for all the scrutiny that comes with being a noob. I love the shit talkin' and honesty, as well as the downright great info I have pulled from the forum so far. Bring the :shitstorm:!
I come from a family of Jeepers and depending which parent you ask, I might have been conceived in one of my dad's CJ's. I learned how to drive a manual transmission in an '81 CJ and it goes from there. Now as a big boy all growed up I have a '10 Rubicon in "virgin" white. It sat stock for the first 2 years as I thought, planned, and begged the Warden (wife) to let me start a new project. I ended up selling my Harley to start this one. So far my list of mods has been the basics just to get rolling and feel comfortable on California trails.
I'm running a RK 2.5" X Factor lift with the Bilstein 5100's. Tires are Nitto Trail Grappler 35's with simple black steel wheels. So far the only power mods I have for my mini-van engine are a Banks CAI and a Bullydog tuner. I went with a Nemesis front bumper to save a little weight and a Metal Cloak rear. I ripped out the factory skids and went with the Rock Hard full skid set up. Ditched the hard top and the doors for now and threw on a spiderweb shade last week and couldn't be happier. Last but not installed yet is a set of River Raider fenders for front and back that are sitting on a shelf waiting to be abused.
Also, a special shout out to Marcus at RCO for pointing me in the right direction on all of this mess! Without him I might be covered in chrome with a big ol' speaker box and amps filling out my storage space! :suicide:
There is so much more to my JK story however this was meant to be an intro and not a life story... Thanks for having me and hope to see you all on the trails! I'll throw some pictures up as soon as I get them over from phone to computer and filtered through the porn.
