So I wanted the cibie's but t he price,, not so much,, also my tj went thru about a dozen headlights from rocks.. I drive 120 mile round trip commute on the Pa turnpike-northeast extension,, read lots of gravel, road debris and semi trucks,, Yes I'm on my 4th windshield on my jk(38K miles).. back to the headlights,, I talked to the guys over at Rallylights.com and they have the kit to "plug and play" for the JK,, actually these are the guys who make the wiring lit for another well known headlight guy.. They sell the hella E-codes with harness for $199 plus bulbs,, I picked up the 85/80 heavy duty. These are recommended for MC and off-road. The bulbs go in like,, well,, bulbs.. The kit tells you to remove battery mount relays and reinstall battery. I installed the relays between the airbox and battery so I didnt have to remove the battery. The harness has a red and black that you hook to the battery + and - and three leeds to the front. One leed plugs into the headlight plug that previously went to the pass headlight. The other two go to the headlights. Run the wires and plug in.. its that easy.. in fact I did not even finish my beer.. The out come is outstanding,, I light up my entire back yard.. its well literally like night and day..
If you call over to rallylights ask for Greg and tell Him Steve with the Jeep and KTM sent you.. He has been helping me set up some hella projection lights for my DS bike.. Oh,, and if your near cabelas in Pa they are not that far,, 20-25 minutes..
Pics tomorrow,, too late tonight..

I ran the offroad Hella versions in one of my TJ's too and they were GREAT! I am glad to see they have a JK kit now.

Thanks, Ben

what's the difference between the cebies and the hellas? I have the cebies laying in my toolbox since the hid kit came plug and play. I was lazy and never put the supplied build your own relay kit together.

They have a slightly better light spread,, but cost about $80 each lense instead of the $35 of the Hellas.. which are rated by some to be exactly the same to a close second.. either are way better than the stock reflectors..

I thought I'd bring this thread back up. I just placed an order for these. The guy is waiting on some new bulbs to come in and he is also waiting on some new connectors to arrive. The next batch of orders should ship out sometime next week or so.

Thanks for the info on these Cruiser.

I did an H4 conversion on mine a while ago. I run 55/100 bulbs with no problem. Very Bright long throw Hi Beams!! no need for auxiliary lighting.

I did the Rally Lights a while ago and it's great! Even with stock wattage bulbs it's far better than the POS stock headlights.
