I tapped into the 12 volt outlet on the dash for my CB which is working great. However, when i buttoned everything back up and tested all the dash buttons the lights on the heated seats arent working. Grant it i hardly ever use the heated seats so they could have been not working before. I suck at trouble shooting and the only thing i know to do without really digging in is check all connections and fuses.

So i need know how to troubleshoot this. if you have any guidance it would be appreciated. thanks.
I have a multi meter if needed but i dont really know how to use it (so i might need direction with that too.)

So, the lights on the dash aren't working, but do the pads heat up?
Check the plugs going to each seat.
Other than the fuse, there should be a relay, which could be bad, but doubtful, so that would leave the individual pads (heating elements) and those Do not all die at the same time. They have about 1.0 ohm resistance when good, 0.01 ohm if shorted, open reading if the element is broken. You could disconnect the wiring and check resistance at the plug end going to the seat.

sounds like the module is a common failure on heated seats. My driver side stopped working but the pass. side still works.
