I'm trying to determine what length cable I need to order (for the rear). If anyone here has put an Ox in the rear, what cable length did you use?

Yes, I'm too lazy to go measure it LOL

No- it needs to go from the rear diff to the shift console. So the wheelbase is too long... But then add in length for properly routing away from heat sources and/or possible kinks & cuts.

Why can't this be simple :shaking:
It is, I'll just measure my air lines, the rear should work out to be about the same as your cable considering where my compressor is mounted.

i am thinking about 10 - 11 ft

I can't help with the answer, but just remember that if it's a little too long you can find places to take up the slack, if it's too short you are screwed. Also remember that the diffs move down when flexing etc.

This may seem like a little redneck engineering but could you run a piece of string from the center of the dif right to where you will place the lever.... you could secure it and do some test driving to see if anything messed with it etc.. or is that ridiculous?

actually Chip at OX told me to use a garden hose- said that a garden hose had almost the same flexibility as the cable.

George said he is going to use my old winch cable (which I left laying in his scrap pile when I switched to synth line) to use for routing/measurement.
