Did you cut any half circles or notches in the 1/2" plate before you welded them? If so what did you use?

I did not, they are just some scrap we had from a project. They work for about 50% of the stuff I use the press for. Pinion and carrier bearings need the HF arbor plates, but those jobs aren't very demanding.

Just saw that under cover fabworks is having free shipping on their arbor plates. They are cheaper but smaller then the swag ones but still 1.5" thick.

Couldn't you have a set cut to your specs for fairly cheap? My local steel place has all sorts of remnants(up to 1.5' thick!) For great prices. They do CNC plasma too. Probably could get a set for less than 50.

one of my most used tools. I've had it a few years and now the handle (the rubber part) can turn. otherwise it's been a solid performer. Honestly, everyone should have one. I have a 1/2" and 3/8"

50 Ton press works great. We needed to bend some Rock Krawler control arms. We tried with the 20 ton press and the press started to bend. We use this often. The plates it comes with are ok one of them is not cut straight but they do the job.

Not really a "tool" but there's a lot of crappy electrical tape out there - stuff that can hardly stick to itself because of low-quality adhesive. The HF stuff is very good and is also some of the cheapest you can find.

Jumbo Wrenches ?

Has anyone tried the jumbo wrenches? The big ole adjustable wrench I got there years ago has worked fine for all of the plus-size bolts, but thought wrenches might be a little easier to maneuver. Especially the ones with the angled ends.
