I've got a friend selling a Taurus Millennium .45...like new, 2 clips and original case and paperwork. Is $225 a decent price?

This is my first handgun so I don't need anything fancy.

That's a decent price. Just maybe not the best gun to learn on. That's a lot of boom on a small pistol. Had one in .40 I would maybe recommend something a little larger and in 9mm. Cheaper bullets=more practice. I used to get 1000rd cases of .45 for $90. Many moons ago. Larger frame, smaller caliber will make for a better learning experience. Just my .02

nah, horrible deal
better give me the guys name and phone number just in case ;)

seriously, that is a good deal, but like was said, its gonna be pretty snappy launching .45s from that small frame.

I couldnt pass it up if it were me.

Buy it and hang on to it, pick up a full size 9mm to learn on and get used to, then get your permit and carry the little .45
