Depends on what kind of wheeling you do. Ive heard of people having fun right out of the box with them, bone stock. I'm sure rock faces and certain terrain are out of the question. Just go with some people, winches and tow straps and be smart. Dont make em pull you out every 5 minutes (that will get old quick).

Orrrr you can try and find someone whos getting rid of a set of used for a good price, and maybe work out some payment system with them if they're willing. Wish I could help a guy out. Good luck

Thanks for the sentiment. I have some recovery equipment so I guess worse come to worse I kick back and take the bypass on a lot of stuff. Mostly Rock and dirt here. Rarely mud and NO trees.

Hell I've wheeled mine for exactly one year. Marcus has my tires on my way to me now that I lifted and shocked it. 35's now! But yeah, them stock donuts are not junk, just takes a little more effort to get up n over some places. I run with a few Rubicon's that I've actually pulled them out, and I got through on a slightly better line whether it be mud or rocks. I'm the white jeep with stock donuts! http://s1238.photobucket.com/albums... Truckhaven/?action=view&current=DSC03665.jpg

The sidewalls are very delicate. I have seen them punctured by rocks and tree roots. I wheeled mine for awhile, just have to be a little careful with them. Keep your eyes on the for sale section for some rubi take offs.

This^^^

We took a run up to Crown King Saloon here in AZ and the one of the newbs showed up with a bone stock 09 JKU sporting the SR-A's. We manually disconnected his swaybar with tools and he went pretty much everywhere everyone else did. Took bypasses here and there but kept up, even on hard pack snow. I would wheel the crap out of them, if your tear or puncture one, then deal with it then. Rubi take offs are a good alternative too. You can usually get all five for the price of one and a half new tires. :thankyou:

Gotta be patient and quick on the reply when you find some, they go fast. I bought a set of 5 brand new for $700 including rims and tpms.
Yeah no joke. I looked and saw some deals i could afford, but they were no where close to me and by the time shipping/or pickup was involved I would have been able to go buy some Wild Peaks local. :(

I wheeled with the stock 29" all season goodyears for the first year and a half and those are not even as good as the SRA's and they handled dirt, hills, steep berms, mud, deep-ish puddles and the beach (loose sand). They were pretty well shot when I replaced them, two tires had a plug each and another had multiple plugs and patches. Just go for it!
My Goodyear Duratracs are holding up great and now I hardly get stuck.

Or just look for a used set of AT or MT tires in a 32" or 33" size and have them mounted on the stock wheels. Just keep a big eye on here and craigslist.

I rocked those fuckers for a year. Someone said it before, watch the sidewalls, I got some nasty gashes. I had about 22K miles on them and sold all 5 for $100- picked off some used rubi MT's for $200.
