Thanks to everybody for a great trip! Great meeting a couple of new peeps (BOXRCON- Chad n Aspen (what a cool name) and their dogs).
so_calif_rubis, Riggermikes, Seth n Sue, Hundy crew, Billy GOOOOOOAAATTT, BOXRCONs, met up for a run up Gold Mtn in Big Bear for a run/fireworks/food evening.
We had a Blast! We had never done it like this before, but like RM said, the whole cookout, cleanup thing went like clockwork! Like we had done it 10 times before! Thanks everybody for bringing all the food and stuff.
Gold Mtn is a great trail. A must see if you live in socal. The weather was nice, the view of the lake and fireworks was spectacular.
I look forward to seeing pics of Riggermike being towed!:thefinger:
We had a GREAT time and we didn't even get stung by the scorpion (which Billy saved us from). The FOOD was GREAT!!! Thanks for cooking Hundy! It was so nice to meet our new friends....even though I was sourly disappointed there were NO MONKEYS!!!! Well I got some good footage of Mike having to get towed....PAYBACK! LOL
I hope we can all do that again because it was really fun!
We didn't get home until 1:30 am!!!!!!!!!!!
These are my favorites.....since I didn't get monkeys!
And a new trail mod for Mike!!!
And this one is because.........I didn't get to see any Monkeys...... :O)
I really appreciate that. I really do. I was dreading doing it myself because I absolutely HATE working on cars in hot ass weather. I'd rather eat a handful of scorpions! Seriously. Then my Mom called today to see if I was home from last nights excursion and I told her all about it and she actually offered to help me so I'm going to take the truck to her mechanics in Lancaster. Same shop my Dad used for years for the Mcdonnell Douglas fleet vehicles and his personal cars because they are the best. I'm buying the clutch from marlin crawlers. Their better than Centerforce and half the price. Although I haven't had any problems with the Centerforce dual friction clutch in my Valiant all the Toyota guys are saying Marlins are better for Toyotas and half the cost. Hopefully It will be done for wheelin this weekend if anybody is going out.
Hey, guys! I took my family to Moab and spent the week exploring. We stayed at a cabin in the Moab KOA (gasp!) and had an absolutely fantastic time. At Arches National Park we drove its only 4x4 trail and did various hikes with the kiddos (3 and 6 at the time). Next was Hell's Revenge on a...
ever since I was a teenager, I've wanted to visit the US of A. Whether it be the vehicles, the trucks, the sheer size of shit over there, I've had this bug in my arse to get over there and check it out.
Well back in 2010 when I was happily married, we had a few bucks stashed away for...
Here are some pics to start. Took mostly videos, will get them on youtube for viewing pleasures over the next couple days.
Weather was warm during the day and perfect 60s at night. We pulled in to camp Thursday night and left Monday morning. My buddy blew a total of 6 tires on his race trailer...
