I recovered my 2012 4 door rubi unlimited after it was stolen. They had broken out the driver side main passenger window and the passenger side rear vent window. Anyone who knows knows that the vent windows are spendy and typically you end up going through a dealer.
I'm asking if there is anyone in the seattle area that knows a good place for our window glass, mine is the factory tint as well, yesterday I was quoted $400 for the vent so I just gotta ask....

I topped 100k on the 3.6l so I naturally start thinking about new engines. Now, I heard a rumor that 3.8's had problems over the 3.6. is this true?, anyone? I'd rather put a larger Mopar engine in it, suggestions?

You'd be better off splitting this to a separate question, but 100k is not necessarily much for a 3.6.

3.8 is really underpowered compared to 3.6, and an older yet not more reliable construction. No point in that swap. If you want a new & bigger Mopar engine, you are looking at a hemi swap. Very expensive.

while I wholeheartedly concur that attempting to retrofit a 3.8l into a 3.6l JK/JKU is an act of futility , don't let them go away thinking that every one of the venerable ( even those weak mated to an pithy 42RLe ) v6 3.8s are trash; my '11 has almost 90k & is tight as a drum & has only remained consistent and reliable thruout the last 10 yrs. Granted I only use it off-road and it's pretty modded now ,but I drove it daily for 4 years .

id guesstimate approx 4 of 10 3.8l might developed some issue but - imho - many if those were owner not understanding the necessary service reqs to keep one of the 1st jk engines maintained properly.

but , I'd agree it'd be best for most y to find a 3.6l unless you know how to recognize a pre-Pentastar engine that is strong..

(edit: fck, I forgot to mention why I replied; don't overlook pull apart or salvage parts places like Daves Jeep Parts that might just have a wrecked jk door w a glass you could salvage . I've known folks to get lucky like that)

Sorry bout that, it was all running through my head at the same time so my fingers just put it out there. Without a doubt i would just put a fresh 3.6l back in it. Good motor. I don't know that I need more power than that to get me through the woods, plus I drive it every day. I've just heard different things about the 3.8l and was curious if "it" or "they" were factory issues or an owner shortcoming.
Which Hemi seems to work best? Can you post any good leads to vids.
We have a place up the road from me called "pull a part" I'm headed up there this week. Progressive wants me to take it to the dealer body shop for estimation but I've already heard through the grapevine that there is a 3 month waiting list, by that time it'll be spring and the top can come off anyway....
