Anyone have any experience with both? I have a spiderweb shade ultramesh and like it. The only drawback is it doesn't stretch to the sides as much as I'd like. There are good size gaps along the sides for the S. Texas sun to cook the kids. The pics on the gearshade site look like the shade goes all the way to the roll bars.

Can any comment on the two?

@ rob & jeeper, does the dirtydog shade pretty much go all the way to the rollbars? Are there large gaps between the rollbars and shade? The kids and I love the top off, but that S TX sun can really beat down on the side of your face, shoulder, and neck - even from the ~3" gaps.

Like I said, love the SWS, if only it was about 4-5" wider. Looks like the dirty dog shade might be in my future this summer... unless I want to be in the wife's car every time we're running errands with the kids :cwm13:

LILWB, thanks for the pic and comments. That is exactly what I was looking for.

Love the Gearshade. I had Bill do some customizing for me so that it has a little more coverage on the sides and I love it. Not only that but the pockets are great for storage.
Do you have any pics of the coverage/custom work?

Been looking for something that is along the same lines, but in a complete block out cover, not just a shade.
Been thinking the same thing. There's an upholstery shop not far from where I work that also does convertible tops. I'm thinking of see if they can use the SWS as a template and make a solid one. If I had the $$, then I'd get the best top NX. Maybe I'll just keep saving my pennies :(
