Has anyone had the pleasure to compare both of these axles in person or on their own rigs? Its time to upgrade and I am going to be doing either a Core 44 w/ARB locker or Prorock 44 w/arb locker. The Core 44 is less expensive but just wondering what everyone's experience is with these two.

I have a '10 JKU with 5.5 Long Arm and 37s with plans to go up to 40s at some point. With that also being said, I am planning on doing 5.38 gears. Will that be an issue to regear my stock 44 rear axle with a 5.38?

w/arb, factory joints, 5.38, factory yolk, motive shafts, reuse stock knuckles and stock height track bar bracket.

Thanks again!

If the core44 would have come with a steel or nodular iron cover I would have went with it but it doesn't and the cover is a weird shape so you cant just replace it with any cover. I ended up getting a TF44 though I'm sure I would have been happy with a PR44 too. Running 5.38's and very happy I went that deep with the 3.8 auto.

There's another new option just hitting the market as well

Are you convinced a D44 will hold up with your trails and particular driving style?

Yeah I think so. I wheel difficult trails, but am not careless. My D30 has held up fine for the past year and a half, but it is DEFINITELY time to re gear so was thinking of just putting that money I would spend to regear towards a new front axle and just paying for the regearing on the rear. With that said, not really looking to spend $7k+ per axle for a D60 or similar. Havent looked into the link you sent me much yet, but am not super thrilled about going with something brand new to the marketplace either.
