I'm posting this link to a post by Donut707 in the Stock section of Tech which is in relation to a possible clock spring problem. This can be caused by numerous other situations but has shown up more for a bad clock spring. My answer to Donut707 concerns the two recall notices I've received from Fiat Chrysler America. Posting here because some may not read Tech and the recalls are NOT found in the Recall section.

UPDATE:

Not long after posting the above, I checked my mail and found another recall notice from FCA covering the air bag clock spring. It has the same number as above but there's more detail in what the dealer will replace. It states that the dealer will replace the steering column clock spring, steering wheel back cover and the steering column shrouds. Estimated repair time is one hour. If your dealer plays dumb, call this number: 1-800-853-1403
