I was just wondering what I would need to get to have an Eaton Performance Elocker installed in the rear 44 of my 07 JKU (wiring and what not)? I am also looking to have 5.13 gears installed along with it.

Thanks

From quadratec....
(Eaton Performance ELocker™ for 07-10 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK with 30-Spline Dana 44 Rear Axle) I think this is what I want/need.

and no I don't want to get an ARB :shaking:

You dont have to get anything.. They come with everything that is needed. I have one installed in the back of mine.

I'd buy it from somewhere other than Quadratec and save some $$

I have one in my 1952 M38A1 model 44 Rear. I have had it for four years now and it works great. I understand that they have improved it sence I bought mine 4 years ago. I am now looking to put one in the front model 30. After running one in the M38A1 and having it work so well it convenced me to buy the JK Rubicon with the electric locker even thought they are a different brand.
The guys at the store tried to get me to buy the air lockers. I am glad I did not let them change my mine. Love my E-Lockers.

I just talked to my mechanic and he got the locker for $750 and is going to install 5.13 gears as well for me. All of it including the locker is going to cost me $1450. The locker, the wiring, the gears and hardware, and the labor.

Are you sure that price includes labor? That's the best deal I've EVER heard of. What gears?

that sounds too good to be true my friend. i hear $1300 all day long just to do gears. even if you got the gears and install kit for 600 and the locker for 700 that only leaves 150 for install. dam good price. i don't see how he can stay in business.

I don't know which company he's getting for the 5.13 gears, I'll have to check. Are there any manufacturers that I should make sure he doesn't get? The price includes everything even labor. These guys are great. They installed my TF BB for $200.

They are not Jeep specialists but 4x4 custom specialists who have worked on a lot of Jeeps. Cope Customs in Bradenton, Fl for those in the Southern Tampa area.

Edit: Should have went to a jeep specialist...don't go here if you're in the Bradenton area for regearing!! Retract statement...these guys are not so great!

Bradenton, Fl is like Kentucky "BradenTucky"...Hillbilly land:grinpimp:. 4x4's everywhere. They do a lot of work in this area. I just hope they don't increase their prices anytime soon. I still have a lot of work on mine to do in the next year.

Sorry I never got back to you, I've been slightly busy.

So I like it.. I've never had any complaints. Don't really want to say what I paid for lockers/gears as it was dirt cheap, but a Local gear shop in Sacramento buy it and do the install. I've had it over a year now with zero problems
