OK starting a new thread to organize the run on the 27th. This is gonna be a family event, as most of our runs have been, so bring da whole Ohana! Here's what we have so far....

Meet time: 0800/8AM at Coffee Bean and Tealeaf/Times Supermarket to get some Java and organize
Departure: 0830/8:30AM Hit the road to West Side!
Arrive: 0900/9AM at Yokohama Bay/Gate (Air Down if necessary/disconnect sway bars, go potty:laughing:, etc.....)

Ensure you bring drinks, snacks, and lunch (unless Jenn is gonna bring bento for everyone:D ) Spam Musubi's are a great snack item....a meal for some of us:laughing: Please carry rubish bags so that we can pick up rubish along the trails as we go!

I am still looking for a place where we can have dinner, unwind and talk stories after the run. Some of the choices so far are:

Pizza Hut @ Kapolei
Zippy's @ Kapolei
Dixie Grill @ Aiea

Let me know if you have any preferrences/ideas

Also need to ensure that everyone going has a pass or at least on someones pass. I have 5 on my pass currently but will need to verify that everyone is going. Looking forward to this. Should be good fun with a good turn out!

Dec 27th Trail run

As you know I am "all in" but I'm still not going down the "no way out" trail...I will try to pull the kids away from all of their Christmas games and toys. and we will show approx 10 min. late as usual (don't want to break tradition)...Meeting at the Coffee place is a great idea.
um, bento's are overrated!!! you never know what kinda meat is in there anyway.....;)

I'm in. will get my own pass. there is also Hanara restaurant in waianae. on the way out it's on your left before the the waianae mall. you'll pass Tamura's supermarket, homes, Hanara's, Cathay Inn, Tesoro, then the mall. Hanara's serve local food, but the Korean dishes suck. Sat eve parking should be ok.

what trails are we going on. Easy, medium, or hard? Jenn
I am all in. think im on your pass right richie? and i think we should find at least a few "real trails" we got out of everything we went down last time.... kinda wanna test the jeeps if you knwo what im talkign about.

Show time for you is 0730!

I am in...boys are already trying to get me to go back out TODAY!!! Dixie Grill sounds good! If we do Dixie Grill in Aiea I can get my wife to join us and hear all the stories...then she will want to come as well next time!!
Only prob I see with Dixie Grill is that Sat nights get pretty busy and I don't know how kid friendly they would be. Attended a meeting there and it just didnt feel right for a big group to G2G and talk stories....but hey majority will rule:D As long as we have predetermined place to meet you can always have "da boss" meet us there;)

Who cares what kind of meat....Spam is a perfect example and it's my favorite:laughing: Can you check to see if they can accomodate a large group?

As far as trails we'll let you lead so take it easy on us!

where is the "no way out" trail?
It's a trail that we went on that proved to be fairly difficult going down and we had to go back up:laughing:

Yup...pass is good. We'll have you run with Jenn and Cook and lead the way so you can take it to the limits!:thefinger:

They should have renamed all of the Jeeps "Rubicon" after the Rubicon river in Italy.....was the boundary between the Northern Italy and Southern Italy and no military was to cross without creating War. When Ceasar crossed it, it prompted a war and the Rubicon became known as "the point in which the decision is made and there is no return from that decision"!!!! HAHA
Google RUBICON...Wikipedia has a lot of information on it!
You, my friend, have to much time on your hands:laughing:
Aloha folks....I will recieve 10 Staun Deflators on Christmas Eve! Just in time to fill "OUR" christmas stockings:bounce: and perfect timing for the run on saturday. If you would like a set let me know! First come, first served!:thefinger: You call or txt me @ 561-5856. Looking forward to saturday. Hey who's buying coffee? I vote for the late person....which would probably be sandman:laughing:
what time do you guys think you'll be at the KPTS gate? I'll be meeting you there.

Plan is for the group to get their around 9AM.

Finally got a chance to watch the news last night and long term weather forecast calls for rain:shaking: But then again weather changes:D If rain comes down hard we might have to look at alternate date. Don't really want put anyone in danger with the slippery conditions;)
I need to get up there. It's been so long. I really hope it doesn't rain.
All I want for Christmas is a good day in da mountains!;) On another note....got the deflators a day early! So if you can pick them up/or I can deliver so that you can put them in your Christmas stocking:D:beer:
Ok, not new to jeeping or hawaii for about a year now.. We want to go in the 27th but I have to work Saturday evening from 2pm on. Are you meeting at the Coffee Bean and Tealeaf/Times Supermarket in pearl city??? If not then let me know so we can get there.

Aloha Dan! Yes...we will be meeting at the Coffee Bean in Pearl City. Look forward to meeting you. I believe Tom took care of you with the pass already. If not let me know so we can ensure we get you on a pass.
a friend got out from P Flats in 33 minutes. He was a little beer brave tho. His pregnant wife clocked the time. I wouldn't recommend it.:shaking:
I think i will take the hour and a half. I will sleep better not hearing my wife all night after work complaining about putting our baby in harms way. She made me sale the corvette when she got pregnant. Also the military does not take to kndly of people being late.
Rain, rain, go away...just come back some other day:laughing: OK, it rained pretty hard last night but da Leeward side looks dry:bounce: Maybe someone can chime in as to what the weather is like towards Yokes.

OK we have to start looking at where we can get together after the run..
IT'S CLOUDY RIGHT NOW...1026Am friday. Rained some in waianae last night. boo hoo.
Thunder and lightning rolling through:bawling::shaking: .....let's hope the Leeward side stays dry!
I HATE DRIVING IN MUD!!!!. BUT it was nice to meet everyone. My butt still hurts from griping so hard.
