I recently installed a daystar switch panel with 4 switches. I have hooked up one switch to the KC driving lights. The lights are working fine and the switch seems to work fine, but the indicator light in the switch does not come on??

What have I done wrong? I don't think the switch is defective.

Suggestions?

Check the ground wire to terminal #7. If it's a good ground, and you have a multimeter, you can check the bulb in the switch by running a continuity test between terminals 3 and 7.

^ I agree..

Yeah, switches are pretty straight forward.

You have a power terminal, a load terminal and a ground terminal.

First check the ground coming off the switch.

If that's okay...

and if you don't have a multimeter, i'd just hook the wires up to another switch on the daystar panel to see if it works.

If it does, you may have a blown/defective bulb in the origional switch.

If it doesn't work, check the way you connected the wires to the switch (maybe you have them hooked up wrong?).

If they're hooked up okay and the switch lights still aren't working..Go Back To The Ground wire, making sure it's a good ground.

If I have IPF 968 lights, what kind of end do i need to add to my wires to install it into the back of a Daystar switch? Sorry to throw another question in there.

The Daystar switches are just Carling tech V-series Contura II switches and take a standard 1/4" female quick disconnect or push on terminals

Is this the type of switch you have? If yes, here is a few drawings of how to power it correctly:

Can you tell me where you got the "NAV LTS" switch and/or labels. I have the daystar switch for my windshield lights to (sort of) match my ARB switches, but if I could find a labeled switch with a dash light connection to match (two lighted switch, one for dash lights, the other for activation), I'd like to swap that in. Thanks in advance if you can help.

sPOD and the ARB system

JP,
I think the guys are right in saying that the ground connection may have came off the #7 or the bulb may have gone bad. This is assuming your KC driving lights are turning on.
Slippery, we came up with an adapter harness that eliminates 9 to 16 wires coming into your cab by utilizing our switches and harness running through our Source.

Then snap on the ARB actuators:

That Daystar panel is worthless if you drive stick...unless you want everything turning off in 1-3-5 gears....Threw it out and working on something custom.
