Dana Spicer 5.13 gears

I just got back from my local differential shop (which is nationally known for it's custom work in street/Hot Rods), and the owner informed me that Dana Spicer should be coming out with 5.13 gears for the Dana 44 in about three weeks or so. He also gave me a preliminary quote that was very reasonable. :D

No offense to those of you have chosen to use Superior, Yukon or any of those other aftermarket gear parts, but when spending that kind of money, I want the best and nothing works better in a Dana than Dana parts (IMHO). :thefinger::hide:

No doubt Dana gears are some of the best but it seems Dana only makes parts that were used in OEM applications with big quantities. I find it hard to believe that Dana would make a gear ratio like this just for the aftermarket.
Maybe Dana recognized that there is a demand for these gears and in this economy, they thought any profit is better than no profit. Regardless, we'll see soon enough if this is true.

The differential shop that I went to wasn't too crazy about using Superior or any other aftermarket gear. He was really encouraging me to wait for the Dana Spicers to come out. I'm in no rush as I have to save my nickels and dimes; so, I got time to kill.

Speaking of gears, didn't you guys at Poly say you were gonna start selling gears? 5.38's, if I recall correctly. What's the final verdict on that one?
I hope spicer does come out with JK gears, no doubt they will be quality and all the other manufacturers have a hard time keeping theirs in stock.

I have installed a few sets of Supior gears and Alloy gears and wouldnt have a problem using them again.
