That listing is great. I've saved it this time. The B1634 probably makes sense because of he way the hid lights are connected. But I can't find a P0000. Has any one encountered that code?
I'm betting you are reading that with your hypertech programmer(the P0000) its a B.S. code doesnt mean anything. I had it EVERYTIME I checked my codes with the hypertech, the reason I believe is because that hypertech model is made for more then just our JK's. I've never gotten the code with my superchips and never got it on the dashboard readout right after getting it with the hypertech.
So is there a way to check codes on JK's like the old "on - off" key trick with TJs? Just got a check engine the other day. No other symptoms. Sorry if this is already covered in another thread - me and the search function on this forum don't get along.
I was told there was a way, and was even given directions spelled out in detail, but I was never able to make it work. I'll try to find the thread and post it.
Push the key in and turn on (to where instrument panel lights come on - the position just before start) then off - on again then off, on again but this 3rd on - leave it on.
You have to do it fairly fast, keep the key pushed in while turning.
6 dashes should appear on odometer. It will then give codes if there are any or in a few seconds say d0ne.
anyone else have this come up? if so what did you find out?
Edit, did some searching and found the 02 sensor wire coming off the trans to the exhaust had the sheathing aroundit wearing away. it was hitting the front drive shaft. Gonna put some electrical tape on it and wiretie it back up. clear the code and see if that fix's it.
So my CEL came back on the other day and hasn't gone off...disconnected the battery to clear it and it came back on shortly there after. Ran the "key" code test and it's not showing any codes prior to saying "dOne"...
Frustrated.
Any thoughts?
