So I know the JKU is not known for towing. Other than a tear drop trailer, what is out there that I could tow? I've looked at the lance camper travel trailers, but they look like they will fall apart as soon as they are taking on a grated road. I really like the Blackseries HQ12, they are just heavy. I have a 2014 JKU with a manual transmission with 3.21s on 35s, but will be going to 37s, Dana 60s with 5.38 gears.

I used to tow a 14' camper trailer with the 3.8 engine. Towed fine from Canada to Moab and I used to take it on some pretty rough roads. Flipped the axle and put bigger better tires on it as soon as I got it. Tires on just about any trailer right up to my 30' I had have all been junk. First upgrade required.

I did burn a ton of gas going up over the passes though.

I pull a kz 160rbt, about 2700lbs dry. That's with a 2015, 3.6 engine. 4.56 axle gearing on 35s.

It could use some more oomph but I get by.
