IT LIVES

Doug great work!!! I am getting ansey about installing a 5.7 hemi in my LJ!!

Jason
Here ya go a little inspiration.

I will work on getting some video up this weekend but here is the semi finished product. Still have to clean up my old wiring harness for my lights. Its all kind of stuffed in around the battery now so I could drive it. I could not be more happy with the way it turned out. Got it put back together, turned the key and went for a ride. I can not believe people are putting 6.1's and above in these things. This 5.7 pulls and sounds like a beast. Around town its hard to get the rpms over 1200, and that's rolling about 50mph but when you do push down the skinny pedal just a little it leaps.

Very nice Sir! I was thinking of the supercharger. But for the price, you have way more power and torque.
I have a 6.1L in my 300C SRT8. I have done quite a bit to it which added 100+ flywheel hp. That thing is FAST (175mph) I can't imagine that much power in a Jeep!!!
You did the right thing. 345hp should do.
Thanks for the photos and update.

awesome

I'd love to have the cash to do that...i drive into the mountains once a week or so and would love to have more power...maybe one day! kudo's to you

I wonder if my wife would notice a 3.8 V-6 slipped into her Durango? Probably after hearing a rumble in the JK as I lit out of the driveway!

Sure, but can you put that in your JK? ;)
I was gonna say "sure, but who wants it?" but I guess your reply works too :grinpimp:

Kinda like a buddy I had that built a 400HP miata, sick power, absolutely useless to try and keep the tires from smokin when the turbo was spooled.
Crazy and over the top, but at the end of the day, it's still a miata :bawling:

That is SOOOOO Kick Azz! I could not imagine taking on a task like that. It took two of us 3 hours to put on my 2" lift. LOL

Hell of a job Doug!
