I have the rear bumper with tire carrier. I love its rugged minimalism. Sure its heavy, but it takes some heavy hits. The destaco latch is positive and has a back-up pin "just in case". It also has little to no rattle compared to other JK tire carriers I have seen and installs in less than an hour with no drilling. I also like how the tire mounts on a "hitch receiver" style slide on the tire carrier. This lets you hook up the spare tire lugs with the tire on the ground. The bumper is also equipped to carry 2 jerry cans and a high lift as part of the purchase price (no extra shit to buy). It has an antenna mount too, but I am not using it.
The only drawback is that it will not protect your corners like some bumpers do. Body Armor has a bad reputation for customer service, but so does many high-dollar bumper manufacturers. Some people hate the look, claiming that it looks too much like a TJ bumper. I don't really care because it gets slammed alot and continues to function. I bought mine new on sale for $500. Its Chinese made, like most stuff is now days, so I can understand avoiding it because of that - I often do the same. I bought it as a temporary solution until I could afford something better, but Im in no hurry now.
Chipped powdercoat, and rust: Come on guys, any steel object that you slam on a rock with the full weight of the jeep will go to bare steel and rust if not cared for right away - ANY BRAND! Find me a steel bumper where the powder coat is impervious to rocks and the steel is rust proof. The only reason my PJ sliders are not rusted up is because I end up grinding it off every time I wheel  Yesterday, I watched a brand new set of PSC tube fenders go to bare steel. I stopped powdercoating parts a long time ago, its all rattle can for me baby.
