question is: how do y’all feel about bead locks?
In 09 when I bought my rubicon new, I had purchased Mopar (Jeep) bead locks. They have been on Jeep since. I still have the OEM wheels in shed, for the last 24 yrs. The dalema I have is; the bead locks are a PIA to change tires, I have to train tire guys on mount/dismount procedure, with that, very difficult to break bead to remove outer ring etc.
so I thought 💭 since I really only utilize the bead lock function, like only ounce or twice in the last 24 yrs. I should just put OEM’s back on my next tire change.
what are y’all thoughts on to or not to use bead locks?

If you don't use the function run the OEM wheels. Most bead locks are heavy and the Mopar are made by Hutchinson and are great wheels but are hard to dismount. Save the weight and get a little more performance and fuel economy with the OEM wheels.

Yes, dirt man, they say Hutchinson right on them. Ya, they are heavy, I can not even lift a mounted assembly on the spare, by myself. 20 yrs ago maybe. Hutchinson had an update for the TPMS sensor about 12yrs ago. Ya I figured it would help to get rid of the excess spinning weight. I have heard ya can safely run normal wheels down to 10psi, if need be? Any thought?
I use JK about 50% in the dirt, probably a lot compared to most. Just not much sand.
