So finally got some snow here in NJ this past week. Enough that when i was going snowboarding i needed to put it in 4Hi for the hill by the mountain. When i pulled over to put it in 4Hi and started to go it make this nasty sound. I honestly can even describe the noise. It is a mix between a grinding sounds and a super fast clicking noise. It is coming from the front end and only happens when in 4wd. Any insight would help.

Did it grind while trying to engage the gear or after it was engaged?

^sounds like it might have not been fully engaged. Did you play around with it make sure it grabbed?

it didnt do it while i was trying to put it in 4 high. I and the truck till moved once i put it in 4hi.... just didnt make a good sound.

I did have the axle sleeved about 2 months ago
