While waiting for my Jeep, I had read a thread where it was a fairly simple upgrade to perform. I can't remember where I read it, but it was on one of the popular Jeep forums. As to wanting the auto climate control? I did, got it with the Jeep, would prefer old school controls to be honest. This is one of those items that seems more desirable than it actually is... In my humble opinion...
