Just did a days ride at Alafia, FL today with a buddy. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area. Great fast trails with a lot of elevation for Florida.

Don't even want to ask what that set you back!
Let's just say I could have a nice long arm kit in its place. Spent a little more than I wanted, but screw it. Buy it right the first time. Long arm will come this winter!

This season I've been riding my titanium hardtail 29er with a 120 fork and the X9 group on the CO Front Range. Motobecane Fantom Ti to be exact, mostly stock but a installed a stubby stem and flat bars. What a bike...easy on the taint for a hardtail, ti really does ride like magic, and the geometry is spot on. Slacker head angle, long top tube, and short stays. This bike is going nowhere, no how, no way. This is the first time I can bomb moderate rock gardens on a hardtail with confidence and not get beat to shit in the process, and of course it climbs like a hardtail. X9 remains one of my favorite groups as it isn't too expensive, works flawlessly and can take a beating.

I am looking for a full squish for the longer and more technical trails we ride that can cause fatigue on the HT (fatigue = mistakes = pain). I found an new alloy Niner RIP 9 SLX/XT build for $2200 which is a smoking deal, may have to pick that up.

Retail is somewhere in that area. I opted for "normal" aluminum rims and DT Swiss 350 hubs.

It got here a few days early, so I put it through the paces this last weekend. The internal cable routing is a trip, there are little carbon tunnels molded into the frame tubes, the days of fishing cables through frames with coat hangers are gone.

The Reverb seatpost quit working on the 2nd ride, looks like it has a leak where the hose meets the lever. I'm debating if I even want/need a fancy dropper seat post.

Other than the seat post debacle, its the best bike I've ever ridden, two BIG thumbs up :bounce:

Nice! Dropper posts are the greatest thing since sliced bread, but I've heard of problems with the hydraulic ones. Gravity Dropper turbo LP for the win. Ugly, 100% mechanical and 100% reliable. Just watch the boys when you raise the saddle because it comes up like a rocket.
