thanks - nothing beats natural lighting. all of the pics were taking with a rebel xti right out of the box. no change to the included 18-55 lens and very little editing.

Nice. I didn't mind you guys hijacking that thread. Good idea to start a designated thread though.

I was messin around yesterday, getting more familiar with shooting in manual only. I realized I desperatly want a faster lens. f/3.5 is way to small of a hole. These were all taken with the kit lens we got with the 7d,

 

good start. I like those fisheye shots.

I'll play.

 

I know what you mean about wanting faster glass - my fasted is a pancake - love it but it gets very old school with a prime. Love the pup shots!

rha - that sandstone canyon shot is epic - where was that taken? I like your play on reflections. I notice myself shooting them a lot too.

Messing around with a Canon ELPH using a Maglite as a tripod in Marble Falls.

 

None of my shots from the tower came out at all. Even trying to do really long exposure times.
