Hey guys, can anyone recommend a decent shop in San Antonio? I plan to purchase a new 3.5" lift, 37" tires, wheels, C gussets, sleeves, trusses, driveshafts, flares etc, in a few months from River City Offroad for my 2012 2dr. Rubicon. I'd like to find a shop locally that has a good reputation/experience with these types of things.

Marcus if you happen to see this, do you have any recommendations?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Jason

Thanks guys. I was hoping to find somewhere local as I would probably need to drop it of and leave it for several days for all the work to get done. Also, if I had any follow up issues they would be able to help. The search continues...lol

I have a couple of ideas, and definitely know of a good welder in New Braunfels as Terrahawk mentioned.

I wish I had time to start taking on installs too, but that's just not in the cards at the moment.

I will talk to the guy that I know in Floresville and see what he says.

Thank you for your support!

Thanks Dutch, I appreciate the info. He's only about 15 minutes from my house. I'll check him out.

Thanks to you too, Marcus. It's a shame that I can't get my funds together sooner. I'll be up in Austin for a whole week in June for training and it would be a perfect time to get some work done since I really won't be driving much that week.

Buddy of mine owns Outlaw Offroad of Texas in Victoria - http://www.outlawoffroadoftexas.com/

Not exactly SA, but not too far. His website is under construction, but he's got a ton of pictures on his FB page. He does a lot of spec work for the dealers around Victoria also.

Granted, I've never had him do any work for me because I live up in Austin, but he's a straight shooter and does great work.

Thanks TxWarEagle. I think that's just a little too far. I actually had a buddy with an old TJ that used to get work done at Offroad Ready (lift, re-gear, etc..) He said his work and prices were great so I may go that route.

I appreciate all the input guys. If anyone else comes to mind, please let me know.

just saw this. +1 for Robert at Off Road Ready. On my front diff he did my gears and welded on my C-gussets, Poly LCA mounts, & a truss. On me rear diff, he did the gears welded on the Poly rear trackbar bracket. Labor prices are better than I've found from other shops and does great work.

I'm pretty sure the welder in New Braunfels they are referring to is Dern. His welds are bad ass and he's an all around great guy too. He was just a little too far to drop my jeep off to for the welding.

What does he charge for labor? Thanks
He usually charges a per-job price. PM him here & tell him what you need done & whether you'll bring the Jeep to him or if you want him to come to you. He's done my cage, my gussets/skids, and my LS Engine Mounts. He's in the middle of doing my sleeves & axle truss now. I really do need to wipe the dust off my welder & get back in practice. :)
