any advice on reparing a freedom top?

The hard top/freedom top on our 07 jk has a small crack about 2 inches long on the passenger side just behind the door. Does anyone have any tips or experience for a possible repair? Our local jeep dealer says to buy a new one but they are sooo expensive. Thanks
