This is what I did to all my Light Covers so one day I will find who stole a set from me before! I did my Piaa's and my KC's
So Now I will share it with you and now the thief is trashing mine and Utkjinfl light covers!

Step 1 The light cover.

Step 2 Use a dremel and a engraving bit.

Step 3 Put your initials in it.

Step 4 Put your Screen name in it or other marks to prove it is yours!

Step 5 Put back on Jeep to catch a thief!

Great idea...but when they do get stolen, i would think for the next days/ weeks that every truck or jeep you see...you will want to go up and pull the light covers off to look for the positive ID. With MY luck, it would likely lead to some 6' 5" monster coming out of the redneck bar, thinking I was stealing them and the result would not likely fare in my favor. "But dude...I had mine stolen as well, and thought these might be mine cause I put my initials in em..." By that time he has seen my Jeep, knows I dont have covers and need some, and is already kicking my ass for stealing his. He's not gonna believe that "I was gonna put em right back as soon as I checked to see that they weren't mine..." Then (the final blow) would be when the cop driving by, stops to see what's going on...Probably going to go to jail or get a ticket for theft, cause the cop isn't gonna believe me either...Especially if it was a mistake and lo and behold, they don't have the engraving to prove they were mine. Better hope like he11 that when you pull someones to check em, that the owner doesn't see you, or hope that you can run really quick. Not worth it!

I really think it's a good idea for the piece of mind factor. I have engraved just about every tool that I own. I just wanted to add a little humor and another viewpoint as to how things might change in a hurry...even when someone is trying to do the right thing. (At least) in Texas...the situation I described could really happen and things could go south quickly. I hate thieves and absolutely respect the idea, but I would go get another set of covers before risking an a$$ kicking and a trip to jail.

If you mean- Where the lights attach to the brackets, then I have not heard of anything. You could put a tack weld between the light bolt and bracket or drill a hole through the bolt at the bottom, and use a small master lock. I know that both of those options would be a PITA. The thing is- If they want them bad enough, they will just take the lights/ brackets and all by removing them at the windshield. Star drivers are easy to find at the hardware stores these days. Sure that most thieves will check out what it takes to remove them one day...and come back the next day with the proper tools for the job.

Why not but some red threadlock on the bolt before you tighten the nuts. It'll at least slow down the thief and make them move on.

how bout a simple stainless cable tether. a short thin cable and attach it to one of the mounting tab bolts
