I was out of state 1000 miles from home and going through 1/2 gallon of coolant each time I drove it, could not find where it was coming from till I parked on an uphill incline and found it coming off the back of engine. Interestingly enough it never overheated, so I pampered it back home and confirmed the leak with a pressure tester.

Ordered a new Oil cooler assembly using the Dorman aluminum housing that will update the filter to the late style 14 & up
Hopefully this is the ultimate solution!

Your info says that you have a 2012. You would need to also buy a new OEM 2014 oil cooler to go with the housing. MotorCityMechanic has a good video on this. I replaced the heads on my 2013 (90k miles) a couple of months ago and contemplated this upgrade as well. I skipped the upgrade and put a new OEM oil cooler assembly on there. Didn't have any issues with the original.

I watched the Motor City Mechanics videos covering all the pros & cons and found this one that comes as a complete assembly, that's why I picked out the one pictured in the original post. I'm assuming this third party source is able to acquire the added pieces we don't have access to without buying a complete housing.

Install went without any issue and seems to have solved my problem.

Well I have an update, the knockoff aluminum housing worked fine except for the seals provided. Started using oil and spotted it running down the trans and coating the underside of my Jeep, thinking the worst I ordereded the "Real Dorman Housing" and tore it down when parts arrived only to find the seal for the oil feed port was sheared when installed. Dorman's o-ring is a typical o-ring, the knockoff was a band type that required more force to push the housing down into the oil feed port, must have been slightly oversize causing the cut.

With everything apart, I went with the Dorman housing, the new seals and OEM sensors. 🤞
