Hi Guys!

I was given a pair of PIAA lights, just the lights not relay or switches. I Have the daystar switch panel and switch for these lights, but don't have a relay, what type of relay would I need? The lamps have 55W bulbs in both, what would be the best way to wire hem up so they can be on regardless of the ho-beams yet turn off when the ignition is shut off?

amps=watts divided by volts. So 55w/12volts= 5 amps. Each light draws 5 amps for a total of 10 amps. A relay rated for 10 amps or better should do. Wire the relay 'hot' wire to a non switched circuit. I wire all my relays to the battery directly with an inline fuse. Then you can operate your lights independently of the stock lights.
