Quadratec is showing the AEV snorkel on their site. $300.... you just have to cut you hood or get the AEV hood. I'd love to... but $750 ot so is just more than i can toss out there...

LINKY

edit: (apparently its for pre-orders)

which now puts me in a bit of a situation.
new rear shocks
power programmer or chip
save for hood
rear bumper
(the list goes on) :pissed:

I am with ya on that. I cant decide which I want right, the money for the snorkel, or Hypertech... I definitly wont be getting the hood. To much money for me...
I see the AEV hood being expensive. But the great feature i like is that you can remove the snorkel anytime. And i dont really know about the hypertech max perf, as i understand from other jk owners is that it needs to be tweak a lil bit more to really work . The rev lim and some other cool options are not available for the jk that i know so far. Me personally im about to order the JET perf chip and see if i get better results.

true but anyone who does 1 minute worth of research knows that it does 4 things:
tire size
gear ratio
tune
fan temp

I think some people also expect to have massive power increase. If you look on Quadratecs page under the difficulty level you can see a dyno graph if you click on it. It shows gains at diffrent RPMs and I think its a bold/good move for them to put a dyno. Not many vendors are giving a dyno, just their final number somewhere up in the 5,000+ rpm range that none of us drive in.

Well i guess this issue will go forever. In the end is all about your needs. Ill see the benefits of both and ill agree with you on that. But i hate having a product that i cant get all the benefits its made for.:vader1:
