after my dealer recently had my console apart to fix e-brake i noticed it seems to be a louder in the jeep then before can some one with a 6spd pull the shifter cover off and see if theres supposed to be something in there like some kind of noise dampner. mine has nothing, i can see the tranny when i pull the cover off, thanks

Make sure your dealership knows if there is (yet, another) TSB on the e-brake if I am not mistaken. The cost shouldnt come outa your pocket nonetheless.

The TSB # is 26-002-08

To the OP: I had alot of noise after clutch TSB work. The grommet attached to #13 (transfer case shifter cable) was not seated properly. It's easy to pop back in... Just pull back the carpet beside the gas pedal to expose the hump, and you'll see it.
