Anybody "here" done this?

Looking at a YJ it has Dana 60 Front and Sterling 10.5 Rear and is four linked so it should be able to handle it..... i think :bounce:

Just wondering how much a pain in the ass it is.

I've searched the interporn and found some build threads but just thought i'd check here as well.

I just bought this one. Has 60/14b, 5.3, th350, 203/205 doubler. The wiring was an absolute hack job so I am in the process of rewiring cometely, new suspension, linking it and buggying out the rear.

As for your question I don't think it'd be bad. A harness of you buy is around 500. Or like this one you could have the factory harness cut down. The 5.3 fits nice. A old style trans non computer controlled (350,400 ect.) will bolt right up. Makes for a simpler swap. I made this motor run on 4 wires. Then add the fuel pump and the wire to the starter. Very easy and well worth the time!

Were about to start a 5.3/YJ swap, LC9 VVT/AFM 6L80, hydraulic mounts.
