does the 4.7 bolt up to our 6 speed or is there an adapter. i think the jk 6 speed could handle a 4.7. i dont want a hemi.

Nope it won't fit. Not aware of any adpaters.. Also I beleive the 4.7 block is too long to fit in a JK beside it's cable harness / ECU not compatible with the VWM CAN JK system.
