bumper corner was already modded at Katemcy so I figured what the hell
I had already chopped the 3rd brake light down to shine thru the wheel
pics should pretty much tell the tale

Good idea! Easier to work with the plastic, too!

that was courtesy of a granite wall, also modded the tail light to match on that side :D
Innovative. Teraflex has a spacing bracket that they sell for $29.99 for those considering a less labor intensive route.
Just be very careful dropping off of ledges cause if it catches the tire, It will seriously tweak your tailgate. Good thinking though.
I was looking at the TF bracket, but most of the bracket manufacturers say not to go above a 33" because of the weak sheetmetal on the JK.
I figured not using the bracket, I wouldn't be spacing the tire out and increasing the leverage.
As far as labor, I think it took me about 5 minutes with the angle grinder to do the whole thing.
I basically did it just on a lark so I can carry my spare until I get a real bumper/carrier
