2015 Wrangler P0369 Code.

I just bought a 2015 Wrangler with 90k on it and soon after buying it, it threw the P0369 code after some research people were saying to try to replace the Camshaft sensor. And for how cheap it was I didn't mind changing it. I was able to clear the code but it came back not too long after. When replacing the sensor I checked the wires at the clip and they all seemed fine. I'm lost at this point and any help is appreciated.

What are the Possible Causes of the Code P0369 Jeep?
  • Faulty Camshaft Position Sensor
  • Camshaft Position Sensor harness is open or shorted
  • Camshaft Position Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
  • Faulty starter motor
  • Starting system circuit
  • Dead (Weak) battery

Thank you for the tips. After further investigation the pigtail clip is broken allowing the sensor to not be fully clipped in. Seems like who ever replaced it before tried to rtv the connector to the sensor

It is good, that you found the issue!

My personal experience: Plug wasn't engaging properly. Fixed with cable tie forcing it to engage correctly.
I feel your pain, picked up a 2016 JKUR with 87K miles a couple months ago and made it 15 miles before I got a P0369. So far I have replaced the complete engine harness (wire harness was hacked up) both cam sensors and crank sensor. While I had the intake manifold off I found the oil filter housing had a leak. Replaced that, it ran fine for another 60 miles and set the code again. Took it passenger valve cover off and found the oil galley plug for the intake cam on bank one lose, removed both bolts, cleaned threads and re installed bolts back with Mopar thread sealant and replaced cam phasers and oil control bolts, turned the motor over by hand to make sure that the timing was still correct only to find the passenger side bank cam chain jumped every time the motor is rotated, removed the cam chain cover and found all the chains stretched beyond serviceability and both oil galley bolts on drivers side bank is lose. Now I am waiting on parts for the cam chain replacement job. While Im there, going to replace the oil pump just for good measure. Have to keep telling myself what Jeep stands for, Just Empty Every Pocket. Had a few words with the dealer I purchased it from, none were good words. :ROFLMAO:

Yep you have to drop the upper & lower oil pan assembly, so do the oil pump while in there. This Winter had to do the timing chains and had already done the oil pump last year. The joys of a Chrysler product
