I was doing a little crawling the other day for the first time in my 2012 JKU when I heard the EEEK--EEEK sound. It only happens when I'm trying to back out of or drive out of deep ruts.
I shift in reverse, give it a little gas and EEEEK--EEEEK then it stops. I shift into drive, give it gas then EEEEEK--EEEEEEK then it stops.
Best way I can describe the sound is it's the same sound you hear when you're on a hill and you ease off the breaks and your break pads make that squeeking sound as your car rolls slightly.
I rolled the windows down and it sounded like it was coming from under the hood. My 07' JK Sahara didn't make any crazy sounds like that. Any thoughts?
