I just bought a 2011 JKU that has been left sitting after a day of wheeling over a year ago.
There will be tons of work to do, and my family will all be on board helping.
Original 3.8 is blown up, looking at 3.8 crate motors now.

Got some cleaning done, it’s gonna take a couple weeks working on and off to get this thing where I want it.
But I was impressed at how the Freedom tops came clean, my wife cleaned them with a magic eraser

I know I know..
My new flooring will cover all of this, but I sanded the slight surface rust down to the metal, and of course I sprayed it with OEM paint to cover it up.

Update: ordered a new motor for it today

You know, you're doing someting I'm kinda dreaming of. Don't know if that makes me crazy 😂🤣😂

Thank you for keeping us up to date with this!
Awesome!
You can do it! One of my oldest buddies has a mechanic shop and is a great mechanic. I may take it to him to put the crate motor in it, and get all the ac working. Then bring it back here and finish my odds and ends. My kids are excited to take Jeep rides again.
