I test drove an ss a few months because I thought I wanted one . Man the car was a slouch. Heavy, tons of body roll...crappy interior. I hated everything about the camaro. Everything.

I have always been a muscle car guy, and decided to test drive am 2010 e92 M3...Lets just say Im never going back to american muscle after driving euro. I have a pretty 2010 M3 sitting in my garage now. Owned many of camaro/charger/challengers etc.

New 5.0 mustang though....intrigued. I drove one, and was impressed.

Yeah, I've always had american muscle and found myself with a BMW M3 in my garage a couple years ago. Got the Euro bug big time, and traded up (IMO) to the Audi RS4. Holy cow those were both amazing cars...fit and finish. Interior and build qualities blow away American cars unfortunately. However, even with over 400HP in an Audi and BMW...they don't compare to a 550HP Shelby. That puts a smile on your face every time you hit the skinny!! And I have been STUNNED by the quality of Ford after over a decade of being away from them.

So you're comparing a $56K car (BMW) to a $33K car(Camaro)? I just want to make sure i am reading this correctly.

Correctly...you're many thousands of dollars off both ends. (BMW) = $70+k....and I'm not even sure if you can get a V6 Camaro for $33k?? A 2SS comparison is over $40k. Anything can be compared...in this case, Euro has the build quality...Muscle has the "fun" factor. AND, IMHO...the new Fords have both.

i have a 2010 camaro 2lt/rs.. yeah it's the v6 but it still iss pretty quick, the v8 is a whole nother monster. if you have any questions pm me. im in love with mine.

Last week-end on the tv show "Lottery changed my life", 2 different guys bought new 2010 Camaro SS right after they won.
I thought it was funny that both total strangers bought the same car!

I love Camaro's, always have. When I was a kid the there was a house in the neighborhood with 2 rally sports, one yellow and black and the other was black and yellow. I loved those cars. My old man, working for chevy for most of his life would bring one home from work on occasion (late 80's) and I would get to drive it a bit. Unfortunately I have never owned one, but I would get one if I had the money.

I have a Supercharged Pontiac G8, same zeta platform as the camaro. Made by Holden in Australia, 6.0L LS with a 6L80 rwd 4 door car. Really fun car.
