I'm working on a 2007 JK. When the battery is installed the alarm goes off, and the rig will not start. After researching the WCM/SKREEM was replaced, and I have a brand new key. Dealer hooked his star scan tool into the OBD2 port and couldn't communicate with anything. He grabbed another scanner with the same results. I have cleaned up all the grounds, pulled the TIPM, cleaned all the connections and di-electric greased the harnesses.

at one point the other day when I turned the key on I received a "no bus" message on the cluster but haven't seen it since.

Any advice on where to proceed from here?

look for a fuse for the obd2 connector
if I remember right it has its own power to the fuse box

Was the key in the ignition turned to the ON position not the acc :?:
