1987 FZ600 $1,500 (SOLD)

SOLD

The FZ600 was Yamaha's first real "racer replica" introduced in 1986.
This was one of the bikes everyone wanted and still remembers. They are VERY hard to find with original body work that has not been repainted or totally lost over the years.
This bike is not perfect but it is 95% original and complete. We bought it about a year ago from a guy that had it in storage. The bike only has 10,xxx miles on it.
Condition:
-New tires this year
-Rebuilt the carbs this year and a tune up (TFOG wheelsports)
- mirrors(but not original)
-flush mount front signals(have 1 original front signal to include)
-ALL the original plastics some cracking, pealing, not perfect, but it's all there)
-New fuel pit****
-Tank flushed and coated.
-New grips
-K&N Air filter
-Kerker exhaust(dented), but heat wrapped to keep temps down.

The bike has fallen over on both sides during it's life. Nothing hard, but it does have scrathes on the bar ends, engine case covers and some small cracks in the plastics. It was knocked over in a parking lot and fell onto another bike leaving a dent in the tank of the FZ600.
This would be a great first bike or classic restoration project. We are only selling it because we replaced it with a newer bike.
Not the best picture but the only one I have right now.

Yeah. You would not believe how many people run up to us and comment on how cool the bike is, they had one, wanted one etc. They don't even acknowledge my 2007 R1.

I really wish I could keep it and do a resto-mod on it. But the reality is that we have 3 other bikes and it simply won't get used, so better it go to someone else that can appreciate it.

wow, My second street legal bike. (first was an SRX250) only real enthusiasts know what that is... LOL

Loved mine. Bought it with a blown motor. Since they were a dime a dozen race bike I rebuilt EVERYTHING on it including the bike for less then $500 bucks.

SR Axis in Phoenix was into these as a budget racer before getting involved with the Kawi EX 500s.

Funny. I still am a Yamaha guy with an R1 too..

Lost a bunch of pics of my two newer R1s on a crashed hard drive.... :(

I remember the SRX250. Neat little bike.

Aside from the FZ600 we just sold (in this post). I also have a 2007 R1, 2004 SV650 and a complete custom Triumph Speed Triple. (That should be done before spring but here is a quick picture, seats are just renderings as Luimoto is working on them as we speak)
