I am being told that you can not run after market 16" on a 2012 other then the stock 16"s because of rubbing. Is this correct?

Who told you that?

Some folks run 15" wheels on JKs. I wouldn't but,................

It just depends on the backspacing.

I was told that by a tech on an online store chat. I was looking at the black rock 997 series 8 part # 997685042 16"x8" with -6 offset and 4 1/4 back space.

Nope AM 16" are going to be fine. What tire size are you planning to run?

I can get those for you. There are a few options in that same wheel that have a different name on the center cap.

Are you settled on the Black Rock for any particular reason?

Thanks!

Marcus
I am not settled on the black I was just thinking it would be a good look. I am open to others.

I just meant the Black Rock brand in general. The "soft 8" look is popular and not a bad choice. I sent you a PM with some pricing and another option from Pro Comp steel wheels. :)

Thanks

Marcus
