I have a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara- with less than 30k miles-

The cluster use to read average eco, and DTE (distance to empty) and also display " Low Fuel" when appropriate-- now, the only display options are the temperature and compass.

When I cycle through the options and go to avg. eco. it simply says just that - with now numerical read outs-... any one else have this problem?

I know someone will prob say defective cluster and that just may be --- but I'm hoping its something a little less costly and or evasive --- history: I have already installed this as a new cluster - due to previous one getting scratched really bad- which eco worked on the original------ And I'm almost 100% sure this new one worked too... ALSO I just picked it up from the power train shop getting new rear end gears (if that is at all connected. went from 4.10 to 4.88 compensating for wheel size... )

Thanks in advanced if anyone has any information that may be helpful. :koolaid:

I did not know that, or anything about flashing the pcm, I actually just bought a cluster, that was model specific, part number etc, and got the mileage as close as possible (which was successful in the fact that I'm only 1k miles different in the stock mileage. And before I changed the cluster, I did a series of research trying to find out if any further actions were necessary, and obviously I did not see any thing other than instructions on the physical installation.

additionally, like mentioned above, I'm almost certain I ran through the gauge display options to ensure I did not get a faulty or wrong cluster, when I installed it, I think then I would have noticed the eco screen blank.... but I may just be remembering the times I saw it on the old cluster in horror.
