This doesn't quite fall in as a write-up, but it is somewhat informational for someone that may work on a few Jeeps, is doing a truss install or two. However being the scrawny person I am, r/r'ing a front axle is a bit of a pain. One or two floor jacks, half the time it falls, lining up arm mounts, etc.
Using two 6ton HF jack stands, some scrap steel and some casters, I have this very easy to work with "jig" or whatever you want to call it that lets me move the axle around very safely and rotate it using the pinion with no problem by myself. Install is just as easy as sliding back under and bolting the arms in, use a floor jack to support it after that...easy, with no surprises. And the jack stands just sit on there, so they aren't permanently on these bases.
Two bases for each jack stand and a piece of C keeps them rotating/moving together and from spreading apart/dropping the axle
The shock to knuckle mounts let me support the axle from under the unit bearing and also remove the tie rod. This aids in truss installs [which is what I use it for]
