Factor 55 ProLink Safety Thimble

Safety thimbles are nothing new, but the way the Factor 55 ProLink connects to your existing winch line makes it a simple upgrade for anyone to do, and one that will increase safety!

It is available in two versions, ProLink (with steel pin), and ProLink Loaded (with titanium pin and Rubber Guard base), and five colors.

Unlike some other safety thimbles that only work with synthetic line and require you to re-rig the end of your line, the ProLink uses your existing thimble and works with steel or synthetic line.

If your hook is the removable type, installing it could not be easier. If it's not removable, you simple cut it off. I used a 4.5" grinder and it was cut off in a matter of seconds.

You then simply drop your existing thimble into the base of the ProLink, drop the pin in place, and insert the snap clip.

The whole job takes just 5 minutes, and you are ready to go with a safer attachment point, and one that looks pretty damn cool too!

The ProLink Loaded comes with titanium pin and Rubber Guard base. The pin is held in place with a snap ring.

The old hook had seen better days and the latch no longer closed or moved very well. A couple of quick cuts and it was easily removed from the winch line.

Even the large crush proof thimble easily fitted in to the ProLink.

Once installed, you simply snug it up against your fairlead and you are good to go!

On the trail I simply hook a 3/4" shackle to it, and hook it up out the way so it doesn't effect the approach angle or get smashed up on a rock.
