doors off, radio on?

No longer!
Who here gets annoyed when your doors are off, but the radio stays on after you shut your jeep off?
I know I do.
Here is my solution.
Temporary on switch, a length of wire, and some tap splice connectors.
Make your harness with a momentary on switch:

Find a suitable location:

tap into the door plug ( polarity does not matter)

Now all you have to do when you shut your jeep off is tap the button, and it acts like opening the door. Everything shuts off immediately.

Risk the Roll.

Nice!!! I know what this weekends project will be.

Need advice or parts without all the bs. Call Marcus at River City Offroad

Wouldn't turning off the radio be just as easy as pushing that switch?

If you have a CD in the head unit, while it is still powered it can be ejected.
besides, I like the radio to fire up as soon as I turn the key.

Seems like a lot of work for something that shuts off in a min. or 2

Bingo. 30 seconds of "X Gon' Give It To Ya" gets you ready to do anything.

Way too much work to kill something cool.

If the guy likes switches and gadgets, and lights and shit, let guy be...

You should get a custom decal made that says "Passener Seat Vibrator" so when women walk by and see it, they get excited...

But don't forget to 'unlock' your Jeep before plugging the doors back in or the alarm goes off and scares the crap outta ya!

then he would never get you out of that seat.

I always like the looks of people when I crank it up and then just walk away with it going.

Nice write-up. Debating whether it's necessary or not is unnecessary lol.

30 seconds.... That's how long the radio stays on. So remind me the reason for needing a shut off switch?
