JCR Dagger Series Stubby Install.

Today, I got something exciting in the mail. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Love this sticker!

Beautiful welds.

You can see by the cardboard carnage I was excited to see this thing.

Light tabs included!

Great job guys at...

There will be some install pictures coming when I can get some time to put the finish on this thing and mount it.

No time wasted...

Got to work already, cleaned the bumper, removed adhesive and oils, and laid the first coat of self etching primer on the inside. So far so good!

Finally!

I removed the crash bar, bumper is coated, lights are installed, and the d-rings are painted and installed. The only thing missing is a winch.

Look at all the dust from grinding, cutting, and painting. Time to wash it...

A couple of things to note.

The instructions tell you to drill out the factory fog light bolt holes to 1/4". Don't bother, go 5/16". I did 1/4 the first time and it was nearly impossible to mount the lights.

There is no recommended torque spec for the frame to bumper fasteners, I set mine at 75 Ft Lbs and used some red locker as well.

It's not necessary, but d-ring insulators would be a good idea since the shackles flop a lot and have already started removing the coating in less than one day.

The light tabs on the hoop will not fit Hella 500's without longer carriage bolts, spacers/stacked washers. Still trying to decide what I want to do lighting wise. I have some 500FF's that I could put back on the windshield brackets and moves my Dually's down to the bumper. Undecided.

This is a really good looking bumper and flows well with the body. Excellent bumper JCR! Very happy!

Bumper looks good I just leave my d-rings in the jeep so they are quiet and don't beat on the bumper.

Thanks Jeff! That's a good idea about the shackles.

You can also throw those rubber bushings (they are used for plumbing toilet bowls and i forget what they are called). Used them on mine and they are very quiet now.

Bumper looks great!

Is this thing on?.....

Bumper looks great! I am a little confused as to why they picked the same name as HD Customs for their bumper though....

07 X - Flame Red - 6 Speed - 5.13s - 37x12.50 MTR/Ks - ProComp 7069s 17x9
RK 3.5" X-Factor LA - WTOR Hydro Assist - Rubicon Axles F&R - Trussed & HD Brackets
PSC Flares, OR-Fab Front Bumper, Genright Rear Bumper, Poly Sliders w/ PSC Armor
