Soft top tear repair

Leaned the top up against a tree a couple of weeks ago and wound up getting a small "L" shaped tear in the top. Did a trail patch with some black duct tape just to keep it from ripping any further. That patch worked and it kept the rain out for about two weeks but I wanted something that might work a little bit better and not look so ghetto. Found some fabric and vinyl repair at Cabella's the other day.

I put a small patch on the inside. Then figured I'd put another on the outside just make sure it's sealed well.

The patches are very flexible and should handle folding the top ok. It's not as obvious as it looks in the pic. Hopefully this will get the job done. Either way, for $7 it's a lot cheaper than any other soft top fix I've found.

If you've found something else that works, let's hear about it.

That looks promising. I might grab a pack to keep in the JK just in case. Let us know how it holds up in a few weeks.
